the removal of the inward darkness of our minds

It is 1:06 PM Saturday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is 33 degrees and cloudy. It is ugly outside but at least it is not raining ice and snow right now. Soon we will be out of Winter 2023 and into Spring 2023 (unless the Lord comes back and ends this present evil age).

I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. I got up early because I could fall into a deep state of sleep. I heard Carol getting up this morning around 5:30 AM. Right now Carol is in the kitchen baking cookies to take to church tomorrow.

I spent the morning writing in my paper diary and reading from a book titled, 'The Holy Spirit-The Helper' The Trinity Volume 7 'The Complete Works of John Owen'. In this volume I read some more of Owen's treatise 'The Holy Spirit as the Principle Efficient Cause of Understanding Scripture' Part 1-The Biblical Evidence.

Caleb and Josie dropped off Ollie (their pet dog) because they were going away for the day. Ollie does not like being left alone all day so he is with us till late afternoon.

There is not much else to write this afternoon. I am waiting to see what comes in the mail (I am expecting four books to come in the mail either today or next week).

Last night I mainly read before going down into the Lower Level from a book titled, 'The Understudy' A Novel by Elia Kazan. Do not know what I will read the rest of this day. I should get back into reading 'The Free World-Art And Thought In The Cold War' by Louis Menand.

Tomorrow is the last Sunday of the month February 2023. Next week we will be in March 2023.
