glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

for our God is a consuming fire

It is 2:25 PM Monday afternoon here in West Michigan. I just received Breaking News another major earthquake hit Syria and Turkey/the Middle East. The Lord is coming back soon, He is shaking the nations telling us to get ready for the Final Day.

I got up this morning around 7:15 AM. When I came upstairs Carol was getting ready to face the day head on. I wrote in my paper diary and then fried myself eggs for a morning meal. Carol and I had devotions after I ate and then she left to do errands. I left to volunteer at the Book Nook around 9:35 AM this morning. The Book Nook was somewhat busy but I was able to read and have a conversation with a librarian on Black Metal and Death Metal. I read from two used books I bought this morning at the Book Nook-

'The Ballad of Bob Dylan: A Portrait' biography by Daniel Mark Epstein

'Don't Tell Dad: A Memoir' by Peter Fonda

I also bought these used books from the Book Nook today-

'Cubop City Blues' A Novel by Pablo Medina

'The Man of Feeling' A Novel by Javier Marias Translated by Margaret Jull Costa

'Satin Island' A Novel A Treatise A Essay A Report A Confession A Manifesto by Tom McCarthy

'POP ART' Art Book by Tilman Osterwold TASCHEN

When I got home from the Book Nook Carol was gone, she left a note telling me she was meeting up with a friend. I ate lunch when I got home from the Book Nook and then wrote in my paper diary. So goes by Time. I am tired as usual. I mainly read last night from a book titled, 'Winter Brothers: A Season At The Edge Of America' memoir/biography by Ivan Doig.

I will close to wait for the end. It won't be long.

"[22] But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
[23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
[24] And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
[25] See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
[26] Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
[27] And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
[28] Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
[29] For our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:22-29
