It is cloudy and 83 degrees today. This morning Carol turned on our central air system to cool down the house. We are having a spell of hot weather this week. The hot weather came at a good time for our annual Tulip Time Festival. I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. I had a normal morning. Carol left this morning to take a cousin home after she has a medical procedure. I spent the morning writing in my paper diary, watching birds from our kitchen window and reading from a book titled, 'Francisco de Osuna: The Third Spiritual Alphabet' [The Classics of Western Spirituality]. There is really nothing else to report this afternoon. I do not know what I will read this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon I read from a book titled, 'Literary History Of The United States' Third Edition: Revised. Last night I read from a book titled, 'Return To Albion: Americans in England 1760-1940' by Richard Kenin. This morning Carol and I did have devotions before she left. which was around 9:30 AM. I thought of mowing our lawn this afternoon, but I think I will wait till tomorrow to cut grass. Carol did not know when she would be home today.
