glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

It is 1:02 PM Friday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a cold sunny afternoon. Carol just left to have lunch with girlfriends and to celebrate her birthday. Today is Carol's 68th birthday. Our oldest son Caleb turned 40 years old last Monday. The years are catching up with us. We will soon be either in Hell or Heaven. We can not escape the Day of Judgment. We all have to give account of how we spent our days here on earth. We will have to stand before the Lord and face the final verdict. I am thankful that the Lord Jesus died for my sins and has clothed me in His robe of spotless righteousness. I have been washed in the blood of the Lamb.

I got up this morning around 7:30 AM. I spent the morning doing the usual stuff. Carol left this morning to visit a cousin and she just left to have lunch with friends.

I left this morning around 10 o'clock AM to pick up a coffee bean order and to visit local thrift stores in search of used books to add to our library. I found these used books this morning to add to our library-

'Ghost Dance' nonfiction by David Humphrey Miller

'American Notes For General Circulation' nonfiction by Charles Dickens

'Forgotten Soldier' a World War Two memoir by Guy Sajer

'Stoner' a novel by John Williams

'Walt Whitman's Native Representations' literary essays by Ed Folsom

'Wright Sites: A Guide to Frank Lloyd Wright Public Places' Edited by Arlene Sanderson

'Day One Before Hiroshima and After' nonfiction by Peter Wyden

'The Roosevelts An American Saga' biography by Peter Collier with David Horowitz

'Edward Weston-Seventy Photographs' biography by Ben Maddow

'Railroads-The Great American Adventure' by Charlton Ogbun Photographs By James A. Sugar

'How Paris Became Paris: The Invention of the Modern City' by Joan DeJean

I am tired right now so I might sit in silence this afternoon and wait for the bus to roll in. There is nothing else.

Have you been to Jesus
For the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless?
Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily
By the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

When the Bridegroom cometh
Will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

Lay aside the garments
That are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

Refrain
