glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

deliver us from evil

It is in the rushing death flow 9:58 AM Saturday morning. Outside this morning it is damp and gray. No sign of sunshine or Good News. Would it nice to wake up to Good News. All there is in the News is doom and gloom. It is amazing people get up in the mornings these days. What is there to live for in this fucked up dead american society? I suppose as a Christian you wait for death and going into The New Creation.

I got up this morning around 7:05 AM. I ate for breakfast a bowl of cereal as I messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then sat in the morning shadows till Carol got home from work around 8:28 AM. I went back down to the Freed Village Holiday Bazaar Sale this morning to look over their remaining used books. I bought these used books for $4.50 at the Bazaar-

'Sideshow: Kissinger, Nixon, And The Destruction Of Cambodia' American history by William Shawcross

'Deliver Us From Evil:Peacekeeper, Warlords and a World of Endless Conflict' by William Shawcross

'Barracoon: The Story of the Last "Black Cargo" by Zora Neale Hurston

'The Nature of Winter' Nature writing by Jim Crumley

'Meditations From A Movable Chair' essays by Audre Dubus

'A Ringing Glass: The Life Of Rainer Maria Rilke' biography by Donald Prater

'The Short Novels Of Dostoevsky'

'The Praise Singer' historical fiction by Mary Renault

'The First Part Of The Life And Achievements Of The Renowned Don Quixote De La Mancha' fiction by Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra Translated By Peter Motteux Illustrated With Wood Engravings By Hans Alexander Mueller [Random House 1941]

'Dostoevsky: The Mantle of the Prophet, 1871-1881' biography by Joseph Frank

After the Bazaar I came home to wait out existence. Today is college football to watch as we slowly wait for the End.

I made a video last night for my Booktube site, listened to music and went to bed around 11:10 PM. Now it is another day to pray for a speedy recovery.
