glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

the apocalypse of Jesus Christ

It is 8:53 AM Monday morning here in West Michigan. It is 20 degrees outside and sunny. It is suppose to rain tonight. April showers bring May flowers.

I got up this morning around 6 o'clock AM. I got up because I was tired from dreaming. I can always take a nap this afternoon. I do not have to be anywhere today except the library used books store The Book Nook. So I got up made a pot of coffee and got oatmeal ready to make when my wife got up. I messed with our main computer and then I wrote in my paper diary. Carol got up so I made us a pot of oatmeal for breakfast. After breakfast I wrote some more in my paper diary and read for morning devotions from a book titled, 'The Reality Of God And Historical Method: Apocalyptic Theology In Conversation With N.T. Wright' by Samuel V. Adams [New Explorations In Theology].

I will leave for the Book Nook around 9:45 AM this morning. Carol goes back to work tonight so she will be sleeping when I get home this afternoon.

Last night I read from these books and went to bed early-

'The Sermon on the Mount and Human Flourishing: A Theological Commentary' by Jonathan T. Pennington

'Moral Formation according to Paul: The Context and Coherence of Pauline Ethics' by James W. Thompson

'Spirituality According to Paul: Imitating the Apostle of Christ' by Rodney Reeves

'Hidden But Now Revealed: A Biblical Theology of Mystery' by G. K. Beale And Benjamin L. Gladd

So the morning goes by. I suppose I will get ready to go. Time is running out.

"[1] Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
[2] But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
[3] Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
[4] But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
[5] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
[6] And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
[7] Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Galatians 4:1-7
