glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the foundations of the earth do shake It is 12:52 PM Tuesday afternoon in the flow of existence. The sun is shining which is nice/easy on my nerves. It is cold, but bearable. I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. I did not make coffee, because I was meeting brother Tim for coffee at 9 o'clock AM that morning. I did warmed up in a coffee cup coffee I made last night for Carol. When my wife gets up in the evenings she likes a hot cup of coffee. I made myself a bowl of oatmeal and ate it while messing with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary. Carol got home around 8:55 AM and I left immediately to pick up Tim to go out for coffee and spiritual fellowship. We went to a local coffee cafe for coffee and talked till around 11:05 AM. Tim needed to drop off some papers at the Department of Human Services so we drove over to that government building. While Tim went into the building I waited in the car and read "A New Heaven and a New Earth: Reclaiming Biblical Eschatology" by J. Richard Middleton. After Tim dropped off the papers we visited thrift stores so I could look at their used books. I found these used books this morning to ADD to our library- "The Eye of the Storm" a novel by Patrick White "Anil's Ghost" a novel by Michael Ondaatje "Consequences" a novel by Penelope Lively "Fanny: A Fiction" by Edmund White After visiting thrift stores I drove towards home and dropped off Tim at a near by USA Presbyterian Church for his AA meeting Noon. So has gone by existence thus far today. Last night I watched television for an hour and then read late into the night the book, "Postwar: A History of Europe Since 1945" by Tony Judt. I am really enjoying this book by Judt. Well I suppose I will close to drift through the day. Carol is off the next couple of nights from work. Our lives are speeding by. No way off the merry-go-round.
