glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- all alone together It is 2:45 PM Wednesday afternoon near Lake Michigan. It is 34 degrees and cloud this afternoon. It is predicted to be cold till the end of this week. This coming Sunday/Resurrection Sunday is the Last Day of March 2024. I got up this morning around 6:15 AM. When I came upstairs out of the Lower Level I found my wife staring into the screen of her cell phone. I did all the usual things this morning. Like I have written for many years my life follows a pattern that hardly ever changes. I did write in my paper diary this morning and I read from a volume titled, 'New Testament Theology' by Eckhard J. Schbabel. Last night I read before going to bed, 'Anatomy of Restlessness: Selected Writings 1969-1989' by Bruce Chatwin. And also read from these two books last night, 'Diaries of Dawn Powell 1931-1965' and 'The Freaks Came Out To Write-The Definitive History of The Village Voice, the Radical Paper That Changed American Culture' by Tricia Romano. This afternoon I have been reading when possible, 'City Poet: The Life and Times of Frank O'Hara' biography by Brad Gooch. Carol has been gone most of the day doing stuff. She has to go to a Woman's Bible Study tonight. I did leave the house this afternoon to visit a local thrift store to look at their used books. I did find any used books to buy but I did buy some used CD's for my Music Collection-Kathleen Edwards 'Voyageur', BoDeans 'Joe Dirt Car', The Clash 'London Calling', Catherine Wheel 'happy days', The One Trick Ponies 'all alone together' and Cowboy Junkies 'black eyed man'. I like to listen to music as the world goes up in flames. God Bless America!
