The Secret Service

It is 2:23 PM Thursday at least I think it is Thursday but not absolutely sure so I will go check. No it is Wednesday. I am a day ahead of myself. I am always getting or losing track of Time. Time is quickly going by and soon I will be in Heaven. Our souls live forever. I was thinking this morning that our souls are either male or female. One can alter their bodies but can not alter their souls. Our souls contain or express our sexuality. It must be tormenting to make oneself a female and have a soul that is male. Or make oneself male and have a female soul. Now I am not being dogmatic but just sharing my thoughts. It seems to me on the Last Day at the General Resurrection everyone will be raised with the body they were born with, either female or male.

"[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." First Corinthians 15:51-58

I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. When I came upstairs Carol was getting ready for the day. This afternoon she is in Grand Haven visiting folks. I have been writing in my diary and looking at books.

I did leave the house late this morning to check to see if our local library had any interesting used books for sale. The library had nothing but I did find at a local thrift store these used books today to add to our library-

'Fraud' A Novel by Anita Brookner

'A History of Africa' by J. D. Fage with William Tordoff

'Binocular Vision: New & Selected Stories' by Edith Pearlman

'The Americans' A Novel by Henry James [Penguin Classics]

'My Hollywood' A Novel by Mona Simpson

'Aunt Arie' (A Foxfire Portrait) Edited by Linda Garland Page & Eliot Wigginton

'Zero Fail: The Rise And Fall Of The Secret Service' by Carol Leoning

Last night I read some more of the novel, 'Frog' by Stephen Dickson before hitting the hay. This morning I mainly read, '"Quid Gloriaris In Malitia" Commentary On The Davidic Psalms' Volume III Psalms 51-75 By Denis The Carthusian Translation & Introduction by Andrew M. Greenwell.

I will close to feel slightly sick and overwrought.
