glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- all history is a type of reconstruction of known facts It is 2:48 PM Wednesday afternoon here in south western Michigan. It is 65 degrees and mostly cloudy. Carol has been gone for three hours, she went downtown to have lunch with a friend. I have spent the afternoon dozing and reading, 'Party Going' A Novel by Henry Green. (I hear our garage door opening, so Carol is now home.) I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. When I came upstairs Carol was about to do a feet treatment. Around 7:45 AM Carol left to go to Sam's Club with Emily. I spent the morning writing in my paper diary and reading from a book titled, 'Taught by God Ancient Hermeneutics for the Modern Church' by Brando D. Smith. I also read this morning some more of a book titled, 'An Introduction To The Medieval Bible' by Frans van Liere. Carol got home from Sam's around 9:32 AM and we then had devotions. Carol left for her lunch appointment and I sat outside reading till I got sleepy. I came in the house to sit and doze. So has gone by this day thus far. Last night I read till I went to bed around 11 o'clock PM. I started reading last night, 'Party Going' A Novel by Henry Green. I got out Henry Green because I got tired of reading. 'Inside a Pearl: My Years in Paris' a memoir by Edmund White. I will close to feel stiff and sore. Tomorrow will be a Thursday. Amazon is delivering sometime today a novel I had pre-ordered ages ago. I am always buying novels that I never get around to reading. I am constantly tempted to buy books just because they seem interesting. I have to constantly tell myself there is no end to buying books from Amazon! 3:28 p.m. - 2024-04-10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
