glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- fired with love's urgent longings It is 12:52 PM Tuesday afternoon here in Western Michigan. It is 34 degrees and cloudy-patches of blue sky. I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. When I came upstairs I found Carol reading her ESV Study Bible in our living room. I had a normal morning. I wrote in my paper diary and then made a pot of oatmeal for our breakfast meal. After breakfast Carol and I had morning devotions. After devotions I drove down to our local Public Library to return books from Carol's Neighborhood Woman's Book Club. At the library I ran into Mary the lady who runs the Book Nook-we chatted a small amount of time-I bought one used book from the library used book cart titled, 'The Complete Cartoons of The New Yorker' Edited By Robert Mankoff. This afternoon I have been fighting to stay awake and reading, 'The Dark Night' by St. John of the Cross. Not much else to report right now. Last night I read mainly, 'Lies And Sorcery' A Novel by Elsa Morante Translated By Jenny McPhee. I will close to drift. This morning while we were having devotions I heard our Blue Jay's making a loud noise-warning sounds so I knew they had spotted a hawk. I spotted that Cooper Hawk in a tree in our backyard- 1:16 PM - 2023-12-12 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
