It is 79 degrees and hazy outside presently. There is no breeze blowing, so the air is still and hot. I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. Carol had been up already for a couple of hours. This morning after devotions Carol and I drove to Grand Rapids to pick up books at Reformation Heritage Bookstore. Carol plans to set up a book table at her upcoming of Woman's Retreat being held at her church towards the end of September. While Carol and I were at Reformation Heritage Bookstore we bought some books. I bought these book- 'Regeneration, Faith, and Repentance' by Thomas Cole (1628-1697) 'The Autobiography of The Rev. William Jay' Edited By George Redford, D.D., LL.D. & John Angell James 'The Theology Of Early French Protestantism From The Affair Of The Placards To The Edict Of Nantes' Edited By Martin I. Klauber Foreword By Richard A. Muller [Reformed Historical-Theological Studies] 'The Glory And Fullness Of Jesus Christ In the Most Remarkable Types, Figures, and Allegories of the Old Testament' by William McEwen While we were in Grand Rapids we went to Trader Joe's for some food items and then drove home. We were home by 11:30 AM and I have spent the afternoon writing in my paper diary and reading from a volume I received in the mail today titled, 'The Whole Armor of God Or A Christian's Spiritual Furniture to Keep Him Safe from All the Assaults of Satan' by William Gouge (1575-1653). There is not much else to report this afternoon. Basically today I have been reading off and on from a book titled, 'Delighting In God And All His Ways: Doctrinal and Practical Meditations in Divinity' by William McEwen.
