glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a pure moral disposition is essential for embarking on the path of contemplation

It is in the will for my life 9:39 AM Sunday morning in West Michigan. It is another cold sunny late Spring morning.

Carol has arrived home from work and gone to bed for the day. It looks like it will be another super quiet day for me. I am already falling asleep and it is not even Noontime. I am thinking of going to a grocery store and going for a walk not necessarily in that order. Maybe if I talk a walk someplace I will feel more alive.

I got up this morning around 6:35 AM. I got up made myself a portion of oatmeal and a pot of coffee. I ate my oatmeal messing with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and have been reading all morning from a book titled, 'Introducing Medieval Biblical Interpretation: The Senses of Scripture in Premodern Exegesis' by Ian Christopher Levy. I am finding this book on Medieval Exegesis a fun read. I am sure people are flocking in the millions to grab this book.

Last night after Carol left for work I basically read the crime novel 'The Fallen' by Ace Atkins till I finished it. I went to bed around 11 o'clock PM. Now it is another day in my short uneventful life.

I really do not have anything to tell anyone that would shed light on this complex chain of events leading to the end of the American Empire. So I will close to buy some hot dogs to celebrate victory in Jesus.

"[1] These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
[2] They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
[3] And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
[4] But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
[5] But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
[6] But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
[8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
[9] Of sin, because they believe not on me;
[10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
[11] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
[12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
[14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
[15] All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you." John 16:1-15
