glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

cannot resist the supernatural infusions

It is 12:51 PM Saturday afternoon here in Western Michigan. Carol and I live in a small town in Western Michigan. Carol grew up here and considers this place her hometown. I have no hometown. I am going Home when I die.

I got up this morning around 6:54 AM. I got up came upstairs to find Carol making peanut brittle. She had gotten up this morning around 4:20 AM. Carol and I had a normal morning. Carol left this morning around 10 o'clock AM to do errands. I spent the morning writing in my paper diary and read from these two books-'Biblical Reasoning: Christological And Trinitarian Rules For Exegesis' by R. B. Jamieson & Tyler R. Wittman and 'The Ascent of Mount Carmel' by St. John of the Cross.

Our son Caleb called last night I told us he was contacted by someone who might buy our old Dodge van. These folks are suppose to be here around 2 o'clock PM to see if they want to buy the old van.

Today Carol and I will watch the Professional football playoffs. Tomorrow we will be in the middle of the month. Outside this afternoon it is bitter cold and gray. Maybe tomorrow it will be sunny.

Last night Carol went to bed around 8:50 PM and I read late into the night from these two books-'Cannibal Capitalism: How Out System Is Devouring Democracy, Care, and the Planet-and What We Can Do about it' by Nancy Fraser and 'Dwight Macdonald and the politics Circle' by Gregory D. Sumner.

This morning Carol and I read for our morning devotions from a book titled, 'The Christian's Great Interest' by William Guthrie. I also read this morning from a book titled, 'The Whole Christ: Legalism, Antinomianism, Gospel Assurance-Why the Marrow Controversy Still Matters' by Sinclair B. Ferguson Foreword by Tim Keller.

It is 1:06 PM I will close to wait.

"[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
[10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
[11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
[12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
[13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
[15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
[16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." 1 Corinthians 2:9-16
