glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the members of the church are only people who have been saved by faith in Christ

It is 11:49 AM Wednesday morning here in Western Michigan. It is a cold sunny morning. It is 35 degrees this morning and it has been predicted to get up in the 40's this week. It is also predicted to rain, so that will wash away snow (cause flooding here in Michigan).

I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. When I came upstairs I found Carol having morning devotions, she had been up since 4 o'clock AM. I cooked breakfast for Carol and I this morning. After breakfast we had devotions and prayed. I then spent the morning writing in my paper diary and reading from these books-'The Science of Sacred Theology' Complete In One Volume by Emmanuel Doronzo, O.M.I. and 'Reformed Dogmatics-Holy Spirit, Church And New Creation' Volume Four by Herman Bavinck. So now I am writing in my online diaries and going through the day. Carol will soon leave to go to a visitation and drop off peanut brittle to two elder people who had attended her church before becoming shut-in's due to old age.

Last night I mainly read late into the night from a book titled, 'Dwight Macdonald and the politics Circle' by Gregory D. Sumner.

Good news from Heav’n, good news for thee,
There flows a pardon, full and free,
To guilty sinners, through the blood
Of the incarnate Son of God;
He paid the debt that thou didst owe,
He suffered death for thee below,
He bore the wrath divine for thee,
He groaned and bled on Calvary.

Refrain

Good news from Heav’n, good news for thee,
There flows a pardon, full and free,
To guilty sinners, through the blood
Of the incarnate Son of God.

Good news from Heav’n, good news for thee,
The Savior cries, Come unto Me
All ye who toil, with fears oppressed;
Come, weary one, oh, come and rest.
He loves thee with o’erflowing love,
He hears thy prayer in Heav’n above,
He all thy pasture shall prepare,
And lead thee with a shepherd’s care.

Refrain

Good news from Heav’n, good news for thee,
Has echoed from eternity;
And loud shall our hosannas ring,
When with the ransomed throng we sing.
Worthy the Lamb, whose precious blood
Has made us kings and priests to God;
Our harps we’ll tune to noblest strains,
And glory give to Him who reigns.

Refrain
