glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the whole process of Christic prayer is a gradual transformation into a Godlikeness It is 1:34 PM Saturday afternoon here in Western Michigan. It is a cold cloudy gray day, there is snow in the ground. Winter once again is upon us. I got up this morning around 7:30 AM. When I came upstairs I found Carol frying bacon, she was also listening to a lecture by the late R.C. Sproul. I sat in the living room seeking to wake up to a new day. Carol left around 9:30 AM to help fold church bulletins. I spent the morning read, 'The Dark Night' by St. John of the Cross and writing in my paper diary. Yesterday I read all day from, 'The Dark Night'. It only takes two to three days of reading the 'The Dark Night'. This afternoon besides writing in my paper diary I have been reading, 'The Mystical Evolution in the Development and Vitality of the Church' Two Volumes by Fr. John G. Arintero, O.P. Translated by Fr. Jordan Aumann, O.P.. Carol got home from church around 11:30 AM. Right now she in the kitchen making another batch of peanut brittle. There are no College Football games on today so I will spend the day writing in my paper diary and reading Mystical Theology.
