glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

saving faith draws life from Christ

It is 11:25 AM late Sunday morning here in West Michigan. It is 27 degrees outside and partly sunny. It is predicted to snow this week. I always feel better when get to the end of the month of January and head into the month of February. I thankful we have four seasons Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. I could not live in a world where it was always Winter.

I got up this morning around 3:15 AM to wrap my sore leg with a heating pad in hopes I could go back to sleep. I fell asleep but woke up at 5 o'clock AM with pain in my legs and feet. I got up, got dressed, turned on my electric portable heater, wrapped my sore right leg with a heating pad and dozed on the couch down in the lower level till 8:05 AM. When I came upstairs Carol was getting ready to go to church. She left me a portion of oatmeal for my morning meal. Carol left I ate my oatmeal, wrote in my paper diary, and prayed. I am praying constantly for a healing miracle.
I plan this week to look into physical therapy for my whole body.

This morning I mainly read from a volume titled. 'Systematic Theology: Spirit and salvation' Volume 3 by Joel R. Beeke & Paul M. Smalley.

Today we will once again watch Professional Football/the playoffs. I do not like watching television because it presents a false view of Reality. What is really going on in the world is Redemptive History. The Kingdom of God has come and God is bringing in the Kingdom of Glory at the end of this present evil age. What is important is that people get saved and prepare for the world to come.

Last night I read once again before going to bed, 'Mark Twain: A Life' biography by Ron Powers. I will close since my arms are killing me. I can hear outside the wind howling.

Pss.16
[1] Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
[2] O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
[3] But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
[4] Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
[5] The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
[6] The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
[7] I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
[8] I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
[9] Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
[10] For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
[11] Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
