glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Aquinas's conception of theology as contemplative wisdom It is 1:08 PM Saturday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a cold sunny afternoon. It has been predicted to get cold, gray, and cloudy as this day slowly creeps to an end. I long for warm bright sunny late Spring days. I got up this morning around 6:15 AM. This morning I was up before Carol got up. So I got up made a fresh pot of coffee and then messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then read all morning from these books for devotions- 'The Life of Jesus Christ' Part One Volume 2 Chapters 41-92 by Ludolph of Saxony 'Looking Unto Jesus' by Isaac Ambrose 'Interpreting Scripture with the Great Tradition Recovering the Genius of Premodern Exegesis' by Craig A. Carter I took a break from reading to write in my four online diaries. Carol is outside doing some yard work. Last night Carol and a friend of hers went to hear a lecture on depression at Central Ave. CRC. I spent the evening reading from a book titled, 'None Greater: The Undomesticated Attributes Of God' by Matthew Barrett. So it is now 1:49 PM Saturday afternoon. I will go back to reading my books and waiting to see what comes in the mail today. I am expecting three books to come in the mail either today or tomorrow. 1:57 p.m. - 2021-04-17 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
