glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "the penitential struggles" It is 2:12 PM Friday afternoon here in a Dead Zone. It has been a cold sunny day. Next week will have the first day of Spring occur. Carol left around 2 o'clock PM for the Grand Rapids Airport. At 4:30 PM she takes a plane ride to the West to visit our daughter and her family for ten days. Caleb our oldest son and Josie gave her a ride to the Grand Rapids Airport. I plan to seek the Lord while Carol is gone. Someday we will be gone. I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. This morning we went grocery shopping. On the way home from grocery shopping we stopped at a thrift store to look at used books. When we got home I ate food and wrote in my paper diary. I have been reading today from a book titled, 'Reformed Dogmatics: Holy Spirit, Church, And New Creation' Volume Four by Herman Bavinck. That is all I really have done today. Carol spent the morning packing and getting ready to leave for the West. Last night Carol went to bed early and I read late into the night from a book titled, 'Henry David Thoreau: A Life' by Laura Dassow Walls. I did buy two used books today- 'The Bay Of Pigs' American History by Howard Jones 'Reappraisals: Reflections On The Forgotten Twentieth Century' essays by Tony Judt While Carol is gone I will wait it out. What else can I do but wait it out. Existence keeps going by. I will close to drift. 2:28 p.m. - 2021-03-12 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
