glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a couple times a month I look forward to some brief spasms

It is 2:09 PM Monday afternoon here in west Michigan. It is a hot steamy day. Tomorrow it is predicted to be a cold damp day. Carol leaves for Wisconsin tomorrow morning for a week.

I have had a typical day thus far. I volunteered at the local library used books store this morning. I got home from the Book Nook around 1:05 PM. Carol was packing her suitcase for her trip to Wisconsin when I got home. I ate lunch and then wrote in my paper diary. Carol is now taking a nap. This evening Caleb and his family are coming over dinner. Carol wants to see the grandchildren before she goes away.

The Book Nook was stone quiet today. I fell asleep three times at the Book Nook. When not fighting to stay awake at the Book Nook I read some more of the novel, 'Ducks, Newburyport' by Lucy Ellmann. I did not bring any used books home from the Book Nook, because there was nothing worth buying.

There is not much else to report this afternoon. Last night I watched professional football and went to bed around 11:30 PM. I will close now.
