glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the destruction of the physical self t is in the ongoing steady flow of decay 3:11 PM Thursday afternoon. I have had a normal day thus far. I did leave the house late this morning to get gas for our lawn mower and then to visit thrift stores. I visited only one thrift store this morning and bought these old used books for our library- 'The Pesthouse' a novel by Jim Crace 'Rough Magic: A Biography Of Sylvia Plath' by Paul Alaxander 'The View In Winter: Reflections On Old Age' by Ronald Blythe 'The Doctor's House' a novel by Ann Beattie 'Perdita: The Literary, Theatrical, Scandalous Life Of Mary Robinson' biography by Paula Byrne 'Reading Jackie: Her Autobiography In Books' by William Kuhn 'Finale' A Novel of the Reagan Year by Thomas Mallon 'Sarge: The Life and Times of Sargent Shriver' biography by Scott Stossel After visiting a thrift store I drove to a gas station and got gas for our old lawn mower and also filled up my old Dodge van with gas (my van is going on 28 years old). I came home and have been reading 'Giles Goat-Boy' a novel by John Barth. Carol got home this afternoon around 2 o'clock PM and is taking a nap. When she gets up from her nap I will mow our lawn. Life keeps decaying full speed. Tomorrow is once again a Friday and I will gladly volunteer once again at our local library used books store, The Book Nook. Carol works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On May 19th will be Carol and I's 39th wedding anniversary. Where have all those years gone? We love only for a few days and then the Day of Judgment. "[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 3:38 p.m. - 2018-05-17 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
