glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the mind of the Lord It is 2:51 PM Wednesday afternoon in the ongoing battle with demonic powers that find their nest in the White House in Washington D.C. The United States Government is a secret agent of the devil. I just got from my daily walk. Outside today it is damp. cold and gray. There is no clear evidence that we here in West Michigan are in the Spring Season. To me it feels like we are still in the Winter Season. We are also in the last week of March 2018. I got up this morning around 8:35 AM this morning. I got up made a pot of coffee and ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast. After breakfast I messed with our computer and after that I wrote in my paper diary. I did not get around to reading any of my Christian books this morning. Time got away from me this morning. I did leave the house this morning to pick up a coffee bean order at Simpatico Coffee Place. After picking up our five pound bag of black and tan whole coffee beans I went next door to a thrift store to look at their used books. I found these used books to add to our family library. 'Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow' a novel by Peter Hoeg Translated from the Danish by F. David 'Memoir From Antproof Case' a novel by Mark Helprin 'The Mask Of Apollo' historical fiction by Mary Renault 'Watership Down' a novel by Richard Adams 'Victory Over Japan' Stories by Ellen Gilchrist 'Our Tempestuous Day: A History of Regency England' by Carolly Erickson On Human Nature' nonfiction by Edward O. Wilson When I got home from my errands I ate lunch and wrote in my paper diary. After writing in my diary I read from a novel I got in the mail yesterday titled, 'The Devil You Know' A Felix Castor Exorcism by Mike Carey. After reading for awhile I decided to go for my daily walk and so has gone my existence. Carol got up around 2 o'clock PM and is preparing a feast for tomorrow. Tomorrow Emily, Josie, and Cora are coming over from GR for a Resurrection Sunday dinner. Caleb is away for work in Boston Mass. this week so he won't be with us to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ Jesus from the dead. Last night I basically read from a book titled, 'A Reading Diary: A Year of Favorite Books' by Alberto Manguel. Yesterday I also received in the mail the new book by Alberto Manguel titled, 'Packing My Library: An Elegy and Ten Digressions'. Well, I suppose I will close to drift. There is no way to escape the grave. "[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 3:19 p.m. - 2018-03-28 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
