glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the nebula of myth It is in the death flow 11:50 AM Tuesday afternoon. It is a cold cloudy sunny snowy day here by Lake Michigan. I got up this morning around 6:33 AM. I got up drank coffee made last night and made myself oatmeal for a morning meal. I ate my oatmeal messing with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary. When Carol got home around 8:50 AM I left for a used books sale at a library in Zeeland. The used books sale was a flop but I did buy a few used books to add to the book chaos-here is what I bought this morning- "A Clearing In The Distance: Frederick Law Olmsted and America in the Nineteenth Century" by Witold Rybczynski "The Diary Of H.L. Mencken" Edited By Charles A. Fecher "Without A Hero" Stories by T. Coraghessan Boyle "Robert Louis Stevenson: A Biography" by Frank McLynn "Pnin" a novel by Vladimir Nabokov "Lolita" a novel by Vladimir Nabokov "Pale Fire" a novel by Vladimir Nabokov "Speak, Memory: An Autobiography Revisited" by Vladimir Nabokov "Willa Cather: A Life Saved Up" biography by Hermione Lee "Critical Models: Interventions and Catchwords" by Theodor W. Adorno "Claude Levi-Strauss: The Poet In The Laboratory" biography by Patrick Wilcken After the used books sale I stopped at two thrift stores, but found nothing to stem the death flow. Last night I basically read the novel "Frog" by Stephen Dixon late into the night. Now it is 12:03 PM Tuesday afternoon. I suppose I will close to wait it out. I am trapped. No way out. 12:07 p.m. - 2017-03-14 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
