glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the journey to the East It is 2:40 PM Monday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a warm sunny early Autumn day. A perfect day to go chase hogs. I got up this morning around 5:45 AM which I have regretted all day. I got up made a pot of coffee and messed with our main computer. Next I wrote in my paper diary and then dozed till Carol got up at 8 o'clock AM. I made for us oatmeal for breakfast. After breakfast we went grocery shopping and when we got back I went to the local library to cover for someone at the Library Used Books Store from 11 AM till 2 PM. The used books store was very quiet so I read and wanderd the store to keep myself awake. I read at the used books store the book "The Village: A History Of Greenwich Village" by John Strausbaugh. I brought home two used books from the book nook to add to our library- "America and Americans and Selected Nonfiction" by John Steinbeck "The Journey To The East" a novel by Hermann Hesse There is not much else to report today. This afternoon my wife and I are driving over to Grand Rapids to have dinner with our son Caleb his wife Emily and little Josephine Joy.
