glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

a ordinary man

It is now in the death flow 1:42 PM Tuesday afternoon. This morning I did leave the house to get bird seed and visit thrift stores to look for used books to add to our library. My friend Tim went with me this morning and we had lunch together. It is always good to visit with a friend as the world goes to Hell.

Here is a list of used books I found today to add to our library-

"Spirits In Rebellion: The Rise and Development of New Thought" by Charles S. Braden

"The Ballad Of The Sad Cafe And Other Stores, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, The Member Of The Wedding" fiction by Carson McCullers

"Awakenings, A Leg to Stand On, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Seeing Voices" works by Oliver Sacks

"The Crying Of Lot 49" a novel by Thomas Pynchon

"All Passion Spent" a novel by Vita Sackville-West

"Forbidden Knowledge From Prometheus To Pornography" by Roger Shattuck

"Goodbye, Columbus" a novel by Philip Roth

"The Art Of Scandal: The Life And Times Of Isabella Stewart Gardner" biography by Douglass Shand-Tucci

"They Whisper" a novel by Robert Olen Butler

"There's A Country In My Cellar" essays by Russell Baker

"The Way To Paradise" a novel by Mario Vargas Llosa

"Paradise News" a novel by David Lodge

"Life Before Man" a novel by Margaret Atwood

"Puck Of Pook's Hill" children stories by Rudyard Kipling

"The Autobiography of Maxim Gorky" by Maxim Gorky

"The Last Days Of Hitler" biography by H.R. Trevor-Roper

"The Red And The Black" a novel by Stendhal

"Abide with Me" a novel by Elizabeth Strout

"Necessary Errors" a novel by Caleb Crain

"The Year Of The French" historical fiction by Thomas Flanagan

"A Ordinary Man" an autobiography by Paul Rusesabagina

"Strong Motion" a novel by Jonathan Franzen

"Graham Greene: The Enemy Within" biography by Michael Shelden

These are the used books I found today to add to our library. I would write more, but I am falling asleep so I will close. All one can do is beat your head against the wall.
