glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He will not abandon us It is in the flow 1:05 PM Friday afternoon Eastern Standard Time. Outside this afternoon it is cold, dark and rainy. It feels like it might snow. I have had thus far today a normal day. I covered for someone at the book nook (Herrick District Library Used Books Store) from 10 o'clock AM till Noon. While at the library book nook I wandered the store and read from a book titled, "Other Colors: Essays And A Story" by Orhan Pamuk. I brought home from the book nook one used book to add to our library titled, "The Men Who United The States: America's Explorers, Inventors, Eccentrics, and Mavericks, and the Creation of the One Nation, Indivisible" by Simon Winchester. This morning I read for morning worship from a book titled, 'Psalm 1-72" Old Testament VII Reformation Commentary On Scripture. In this commentary I am on Psalm 9 "The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble" Ps. 9:9. Last night we got back from having Thanksgiving with our oldest son Caleb and his family wife Emily and baby Josie Joy. We had a nice time with them and were home by 6:50 PM. The Lord granted us traveling mercies. Carol and I were very tired so we went to bed around 9 o'clock PM. music Not much else to report. I got out to look at today a book titled, "Reformation Reading of Paul: Explorations in History and Exegesis" Edited by Michael Allen & Jonathan A. Linebaugh. I suppose I will close to drift and to wait to see what comes in the mail this afternoon. Carol works the next two nights so she has gone to bed for the day. The house is quiet except for the noise of our dog Rudy chewing on himself. Existence keeps speeding by!
