glorycloud's Diaryland Diary

regard writing as the only form of meaningful activity

I am down in the lower level looking at my books on a Wednesday evening. I thought about quoting from these two books this evening, "Radical Visions & American Dreams" by Pells and "Deliberate Regression" by Harbison. But it would take too much work and who would take the time to read the quotes anyway. If I am going to quote anything in my blogs it will be the Bible or old Gospel hymns. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account" Hebrews 4:12,13.

I thought about getting back to reading a commentary on the Epistle to the Hebrews I started awhile back titled, "Commentary On Hebrews" (Biblical Theology For Christian Proclamation) by Thomas R. Schreiner.

I came down here to put away the used books I bought today. I put the used books I got today with their authors. I put for example the used book "A Suitable Boy" a novel by Vikram Seth that I bought today with two other books by Seth titled, "An Equal Music" a novel by Seth and "From Heaven Lake: Travels through Sinkiang and Tibet" by Seth.

Today I bought used a novel titled, "Little Big Man" by Thomas Berger. I put this novel by Berger with his other novel, "The Return of Little Big Man".

I seek to keep my book collection in some kind of order down here. But I do lose track of books and have to search through our book collection till I find the misplaced book.

It would help if I had all our books on shelves and not stacked everywhere.

What kind I do but try at least put my used books in some orderly system down here. In time it will be more and more difficult to find anything, but that is the cost one must pay for being a book lover.

Well I will close to wander the house. I plan to go to bed early. Tomorrow is the Last Day.
