glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- we shall all be changed It is now in the flow of rain drops 7:53 AM Saturday morning. Outside it is raining and the snow is turning to ice and mush. Carol left this morning to have breakfast with one of her nieces. I was left alone once again with my thoughts. My wife is either running off to work or running off to meet with someone. My wife is not one to sit still. Once you are in the American mainstream it is almost impossible to stop and be still. My wife is always telling me how tired she is, but she never stops to rest in silence/non-movement. My wife and I both got up at 6:05 AM to face existence. I made a pot of coffee and made myself some oatmeal. I have lost 15 pounds since I stopped eating anything I enjoy eating. I am down to eating mainly oatmeal, apples and eggs. I am losing my ability to taste food. The biggest challenge is to stop the habit of eating. I want to eat because it is a habit not because I really need to eat something. Lucky we have not been buying any food that I enjoy putting into my body the last couple of months. Carol buys the food she likes to eat that keeps her body moving full speed. I do not need fuel for work. I am not a worker. So here I sit talking to my Self. I volunteer at the Herrick Public Library used books store today from 10 AM till 1 PM. After the library book nook I will come home and wait out the day. There are no college football games I care to watch today. Last night my wife went to bed around 8:10 PM and I stayed up till 11 o'clock PM reading the novel "Shark" by Will Self. I went to sleep around 11 o'clock PM. Well I do not know what else to write. I got out these books to read this morning- "Reading Backwards: Figural Christology and the Fourfold Gospel Witness" by Richard B. Hays "The Second Letter To The Corinthians" [The Pillar New Testament Commentary] by Mark A. Seifrid "Hidden But Now Revealed: A Biblical Theology of Mystery" by G. K. Beale & Benjamin L. Gladd I will close to drift and wait it out. It will soon be over. "[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, music: Andy Stott 'Faith In Strangers' 8:15 a.m. - 2014-11-22 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
