American Fun

It is 1:58 PM Monday afternoon here in Western Michigan. It is 84 degrees and sunny right now. This morning before leaving to volunteer at the Book Nook I turned on our central air system. I did not want to come home to a HOT house.

Today the Book Nook was not busy so I read Richard Sibbes and waited to come home. When I got home I ate lunch and wrote in my paper diary. I brought home two used books from the Book Nook-

'London's Thames: The River That Shaped a City and Its History' by Gavin Weightman

'American Fun: Four Centuries Of Joyous Revolt' Cultural history by John Beckman

I got up this morning around 6:05 AM. When I came upstairs there was no one to greet me. Carol is out West till the end of June 2023. I had a normal morning considering I was on my own. I had breakfast, wrote in my paper diary, and filmed a video for my Youtube channel. I left for the Book Nook around 9:45 AM. Carol did TEXT me this morning to find out how I was doing. Was I feeling better? I am slowly regaining my health.

I do not know what I will do this afternoon. I suppose I will close to drift.

O happy soul that lives on high
While men lie groveling here!
