glorycloud's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hell is not Hollywood It is 1:17 PM Wednesday afternoon here in Western Michigan. It is 20 degrees and we are under a Winter storm warning till this coming Saturday. We are expecting a blizzard by this coming Friday to slam into us with gale force winds. I got up this morning around 6:35 AM, but had been awake since 4:17 AM. So I got up to find my wife doing the usual. I had a typical morning. I am having a typical afternoon. I am thinking of going down into the Lower Level and going back to bed. Or I might just sit in my living room chair and doze. Why stay awake on this very cold Winter day? I spent the morning writing in my paper diary and reading, 'The Existence & Attributes of God' Volume 1 by Stephen Charnock. Do not know what I will read the rest of this day. Last night I mainly read from a book titled, 'Everybody Thought We Were Crazy: Dennis Hopper, Brooke Hayward, and 1960s Los Angeles' biography by Mark Rozzo. I also read from these books before calling it a night, "How I Became a Socialist' essays by William Morris and 'The Last Utopians: Four Late 19th Century Visionaries And Their Legacy' biography by Michael Robertson. Carol invited the kids over for a meal tonight, so she has been cooking since the beginning of Time. This morning Carol left to go grocery shopping. She wanted to stock up on food so when the snow storm hits us and we are not able to leave our home we have plenty of food to live on unto we are able to get out of the house. Carol thinks the library will close this coming Friday due to this approaching Winter blizzard. She does not plan to leave the house this coming Friday to do her volunteer shift at the Book Nook, our local library used books store. We will wait and see.
