tools for Bible Study

The day keeps going by normal, which is a divine blessing. I am down in the basement looking at my books. Today while I was at Lemonjello's getting a mocha I exchanged some words with the woman serving me-she just graduated from Western Theological Seminary located here in Holland, Mich.. I asked the woman had she been doing any spiritual reading this summer? the woman told me she has been too busy getting ready to get married to a fellow who also graduated from seminary this year (they are both going to be ministers). The woman told me that the fellow she is going to marry just inherited his mother's theological library. I asked the woman what kind of library did this woman minister have-was she into Barth? The woman said the woman minister was into Liberation Theology not conservative classical Reformed theology/Christianity. I told the woman serving me at the coffee house that I would describe my library as conservative, Reformed, evangelical, New Perspective, N. Wright, the Beats, Eastern Orthodox, Christian Spirituality, secular, and centered on preaching the holy Scriptures.

I built my library with the goal of preaching and teaching the holy Scriptures. This afternoon in looking over my book collection I once again realized that my library is one for preaching and teaching the Bible. I will list some books in one area of my library that shows what I am seeking to prove-I am not into preaching a social gospel--we need to preach Christ Jesus-the Cross---
